If your New Year’s resolution list included things like “go outside,” “laugh more,” or “learn a new skill,” here’s a tip: Get on Concrete Couch‘s mailing list!
This Give! nonprofit excels at offering frequent opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to get involved with the awesome work they do. If you like working outside with art media, hammers and power tools, you’ll love getting involved with their projects at local schools and on Ft. Carson. Bonus: Many of the events take place on the weekends, so even 9-to-5ers can come play!
Below, you’ll find photos of their latest volunteer event at Midland Elementary School. Last Saturday, about 60 Midland students, parents and siblings turned up to help with playground refurbishment and fence beautification projects, along with Midland’s principal and librarian and 12 Concrete Couch volunteers and board members!
