"The moms at home with deployed husbands want to get out of the house and do something worthwhile and fun that doesn’t cost any money. That’s Concrete Couch."
– Rosalinda Diase, wife of deployed soldier, Widefield, Colorado
Concrete Couch
WHAT WE DO
We build community through hands-on creative projects with schools,
soldiers and community groups, to help them work together to have fun, learn skills and meet their neighbors while making something REAL and useful. Projects include public art (benches, signs, sculptures, murals, maps); performance (puppetry, music, dance); environmental (cold-frame gardening, building with recycled materials), and social service (creative community service).
WHY WE’RE GREAT!
The best way to find out is to help with one of our hands-on, creative programs at Fort Carson, integrating military and local families. Or at short-staffed community centers and schools, where we help kids
build awesome infrastructure that not only improve facilities but also
everyone’s educational experience. Concrete Couch works where it is most needed, and ALL of our projects are FREE to everyone!
