"Thank you. I really believe this help has saved my son’s life."

Suicide Prevention Partnership

of the Pikes Peak Region

WHAT WE DO

We work every day to battle the growing number of suicides and the even greater number of suicide attempts in El Paso County through our education/prevention programs. Our intervention programs include free short-term therapy for those at risk of taking their own lives and a 24⁄7 hotline (719⁄596-LIFE).

WHY WE’RE GREAT!

In 2007, more Coloradans died by suicide than in motor vehicle accidents, or from illnesses such as diabetes, pneumonia or breast cancer. Partly as a result of the bad economy, the number of local suicides and attempts is rising rapidly.
Suicide remains the second leading cause of death among youth under age 18 in Colorado/Colorado Teens. Young adults (20-24) are at an even higher risk.
Suicide is preventable.
