"It’s a scary world when you don’t know about Family-to-Family mentoring. Thankfully, I am not scared anymore."

WHAT WE DO
Our 12-session Family-to-Family education workshop is designed for family and friends whose loved ones suffer from a major mental illness, including schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder and depression. The class focuses on coping skills such as communication, problem solving, self-care and empathy exercises, which help family members understand what their loved ones struggle with on a day-to-day basis.
WHY WE’RE GREAT!
Every day, one in five families battle the devastating effects of mental illness. Through our free Family-to-Family workshops, families are empowered and educated about how to address the problems they face and to understand their ill relative’s needs and behaviors. Most of all, they learn that they are not alone. We stay on top of the latest research that constantly provides new information about the brain and the nature of mental illnesses and, consequently, more effective treatments.
