We rehabilitate and release native wildlife, including migratory songbirds, water birds and birds of prey, mammals, and species of concern. Through our community education programs, we instill a respect of and appreciation for one of our greatest natural resources — our WILDLIFE.
Our facilities allow a clean, safe environment for wild animals to recover from their injuries and illnesses, grow, and prepare for release. We involve the community in protecting native wildlife by conducting educational programs. All of this is accomplished by an all-volunteer organization that receives no agency funding or subsidies.
Thanks for giving us your birth year. There is a special matching grant available to the organization in each category that garners the most donations from folks in their 20's and 30's. One of the big focuses of this campaign is to encourage younger citizens to become more active donors.
When Give! ends at the stroke of midnight, December 31, 2012, our goal is to have raised more than $800,0000 -- that's $100,000 more than we raised last year. To help us on our way, generous local businesses, foundations and individuals have pledged more than a quarter million dollars in Matching Grants and Friendly Competition Awards for our 58 participating nonprofits.
