Pikes Peak Recycling on the Rise

What We Do

Colorado is known for its majestic mountains, breathtaking vistas, pristine streams and…landfills? We’re a brand new program, supported by local governments, waste haulers and recycling advocates, to increase public awareness and participation in existing recycling opportunities by educating homeowners and businesses and providing incentives to sign up for curbside collection.

Why We’re Great!

Colorado has one of the lowest recycling rates in the country – and El Paso County has one of the lowest rates in the state. As few as 10% of our residents recycle, despite ample opportunities to recycle everything from techno trash to toilets. We aim to increase this rate significantly, thereby reducing trash headed to our landfills, pollution and the depletion of the earth’s scarce resources. It’s a win for the environment, but just as importantly, it’s a win for our local economy.

Make A Donation
Our region dumps millions of pounds of trash daily that, if recycled, would preserve finite resources, provide jobs, and expand opportunities for local businesses.
