Girls on the Run of the Rockies
What We Do
We use the power of running to change the way girls ages 8-13 see themselves and their futures. Participants learn to stretch themselves physically, mentally and emotionally while training for a 5K run/walk. Girls are inspired to a lifetime of healthy living and self-respect. Each year, 50% of our girls are allowed to participate in the program through scholarships provided by Girls on the Run of the Rockies.
Why We’re Great!
We welcome ALL girls regardless of race, ethnicity, ability to pay or fitness level. Our non-competitive program teaches girls to celebrate their bodies, honor their voices and embrace their gifts. You can find Girls on the Run at local elementary and middle schools and at community and recreation centers. Our program continues to grow by about 50% each year. This year, Girls on the Run of the Rockies served 2,500 girls, 1400 of whom were on a full or partial scholarship.
