Remember the Manitou Chair Project? On October 9, 2011, 671 empty chairs from the Manitou Springs community were placed down the middle of Manitou Avenue, creating the single largest artwork in the history of the region.

Join the Business of Art Center (Give! class of 2011) this Friday in celebrating the Manitou Chair Project with a new exhibit of chair-related art in all media including photography, painting, sculpture, mixed-media, found objects, video, written word and performance, on exhibit at the BAC  (513 Manitou Ave.) March 2 – 31.

A free public opening reception will be held TOMORROW, March 2 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with snacks and a cash bar as well as live opera, dance, yoga and puppets.

The following day, experience the work of twelve Chair Project Photographers, featured in the Hagnauer Gallery, with a free gallery talk with the photographers themselves. Join Billie Allor, Mary Berger, Brenda Biondo, Lilan Critchlow, Carol Dass, Bradley Flora, Cas Foste, and Bill Young at the BAC at 11 a.m. for an inside look at the art event that inspired their work!
